About the Summit

The Penn Wharton China Summit (PWCS), now in its ninth year, has established itself as one of the most influential student-led China-focused forums in North America. The 2025 edition is themed “Defining the Future: A Visionary Dialogue”, convening top founders, scholars, and policymakers to assess how Chinese enterprises and global partners can navigate transformation through innovation, resilience, and long-term strategy.

Against a backdrop of shifting global growth engines and rising technological volatility, the summit challenges participants to think beyond short cycles—to recognize emerging megatrends, cross-border dynamics, and systemic risk-response strategies.

Summit History & Theme

As part of its Signal Catcher — Seminar initiative, GYDA joined this year's PWCS as a supporting partner, engaging youth participants with structured sessions that unpack macro inflection points, industry restructuring, and international business foresight.

From AI and consumer innovation to capital markets, industrial policy, and global brand building, the two-day dialogue emphasized both vertical expertise and interdisciplinary thinking—providing future leaders with the contextual clarity needed to shape meaningful change.

Summit Reach & Partnerships

With 9 years of sustained development, the summit now reaches an online audience of over 80,000 and maintains active partnerships with more than 100 student-led organizations and 20+ global media platforms. Past participants span 4 countries, 34 U.S. states, and 72 cities, highlighting the global relevance of the dialogue.

The 2025 edition brought together partners from venture clubs, innovation labs, and global policy centers—offering a uniquely intergenerational and cross-sectoral setting for dialogue on capital, technology, and cultural impact.
