Incheon, Republic of Korea — September 24–26, 2025 — The Global Youth Development Alliance (GYDA) joined public-sector leaders, policy makers, and technologists at the 9th Regional Symposium on Effective Governance & AI Transformation, organized by the UN Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) under UN DESA/DPIDG, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) and Incheon Metropolitan City.

Theme: Strengthening Institutions for SDG Acceleration

The 2025 edition focused on making public institutions more agile, inclusive, and future-ready amid rapid AI adoption—while safeguarding ethics, accountability, and public trust.

Key Objectives

  • Promote institutional innovation for inclusive AI transformation and improved service delivery.
  • Advance ethical, responsible AI and readiness assessments for public-sector governance.
  • Scale skilling and upskilling to retain talent in the age of generative and agentic AI.
  • Highlight local and youth-led governance models applying AI for SDG progress.
  • Share digital tools and strategic foresight to anticipate governance challenges.
  • Explore the human behaviour–AI nexus to inform policy design in complex systems.
